The Philippine Association of Research Managers, Inc. (PHILARM) founded in 9 September 1989 is a private, non-stock, non-profit organization dedicated to the promotion and enhancement of the role of managers in improving and sustaining productivity in research. The Secretariat is located at the Philippine Council for Agriculture, Aquatic and Natural Resources, Research and Development (PCAARRD) Headquarters, Los Baños, Laguna.
PHILARM is a registered organization under the Philippines Securities and Exchange Commission with SEC Registration Number CN201315115.
The Philippine Association of Research Managers, Inc. (PHILARM) will be co-hosting the 1st Western Visayas Companion Animal, Poultry, and Livestock Conference on January 26-27, 2023, in hybrid format via an online platform and face to face with a physical venue at the West Visayas State University, La Paz, Iloilo, City, Philippines.
This conference is organized by the Philippine College of Canine Practitioners, the West Visayas State University, the Veterinary Schools in the Visayas, Philippines (including Capiz State University, Aklan State University, and Cebu Technological University), the Philippine Veterinary Medical Association – Western Visayas Chapter, the National Research Council of the Philippines, and the Tropical Council for Companion Animal Parasites.
The National PHILARM Board just recently conducted a RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT MANAGEMENT SEMINAR and SPECIAL PHILARM BOARD OF DIRECTORS’ MEETING with the PHILARM BARRM Regional Chapter. The activity was held last October 21-22, 2022 and hosted by the Tawi-Tawi Regional Agricultural College (TRAC) in Bongao, Tawi-Tawi. The activities were participated by its Chapter Officers, members and other interested research managers in Tawi-Tawi Province. The activities aimed to bring awareness and promote R&D Management System in the Region and encourage researchers and institutions to open its doors to research opportunities with the partner and network institutions of the Association. The event also includes the Oathtaking Ceremonies of the BARMM Chapter Officers and the newly accepted members.
The Philippine Association of Research Managers, Inc. (PHILARM) conducted its 4TH BOARD OF DIRECTORS’ MEETING AND NATIONAL PLANNING WORKSHOP last August 12-13, 2022, hosted by the Davao Oriental State University (DOrSU) in Guang-guang, Mati City, Davao Oriental and Via Zoom.
The two-day activity came up with plans and programs of the National Standing Committees to be conducted for the remaining months of CY 2022 up to CY 2024. The event were participated by the current National PHILARM Officers and Board Members and the Regional Chapter Presidents. The Regional Chapter Presidents were inducted during the activity.
We would like to invite you to the National Sustainability Summits for Philippine Higher Education Institutions and Government Agencies (SustainPHEIGov), spearheaded by Cebu Technological University, in collaboration with Philippine Association of Research Managers, Inc. (PHILARM), National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA), Department of Science and Technology Region 7 (DOST-7), Department of Agriculture Region 7 (DA-7), DA-Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources Region 7 (BFAR), Department of Trade and Industry Region 7 (DTI-7) and AltPayNet Corp. The event will be conducted from June 23-June 30, 2022 in a hybrid format via online platform and physical venue at the Cebu Technological University- Argao Campus, Danao Campus, and Carmen Campus.
The summit aims to promote and mainstream the importance of sustainability in Philippine Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) and government agencies by disseminating knowledge and best practices among all stakeholders and establishing a network for future collaboration. In recent years, there has been a growing recognition of the need to move beyond traditional approaches and build sustainable solutions for the 21st century. Despite this awareness, several challenges exist towards institutionalizing sustainability in HEIs and government organizations.
The different summits will feature the following disciplines/areas:
Education, Arts, and Sciences (23-24 June 2022; CTU- Argao Campus)
Technology and Engineering (27-28 June 2022; CTU- Danao Campus)
Agriculture and Food Security (29-30 June 2022; CTU- Carmen Campus)
The summits will bring together representatives from different HEIs, government agencies, and private organizations to further discuss sustainability initiatives and contribute to developing a more sustainable Philippines for everyone.
